Three years on from losing Shane MacGowan, the core band from his Nenagh funeral are marking the anniversary the only way that makes sense: loud. Boys from the Black Stuff, Irish band Cronin plus former Popes accordionist Andy Nolan, play three Irish nights in late November.

Thursday November 26 is The Chambers Bar, Mullingar. Friday November 27 is The Shed Distillery, Drumshanbo, with an opening set from Cronin. Sunday November 29 is the Spirit Store, Dundalk. Tickets start at €20 plus fees.

Shane picked the original setlist himself back in 2018, so expect The Nips and The Popes alongside the Pogues classics. Cronin also cut London, You’re a Lady for the 20th Century Paddy tribute album.
