West Virginia’s Common Run have their debut EP, Live For Today, out now: four tracks of what the band call “Celtic street rock and roll,” released on their own Common Run Records. It’s the first proper release from a crew based in the state’s eastern panhandle.
The EP kicks off with “Die Alone,” then circles back to “We Came In Peace,” the band’s first-ever release, which got an acoustic outing with Jon Heller in March 2025. “Man In The Tower” follows, and the title track closes things out.
Singles “Anthropocene,” “Golden Calf” and “Guillotines” kept the pints flowing through 2025. No frills, no corporate polish, just blue-collar Celtic punk from a band worth keeping an eye on.
