St. Paul’s Irish folk-punk two-piece The Langer’s Ball have launched a Kickstarter for Shamrocktoberfest, a 14-track album that’s already recorded and built to carry you from St. Patrick’s Day to Oktoberfest and back again.

The idea goes back years, to when they started slipping the Beer Barrel Polka into The Wild Rover. Now it’s a whole record of originals, classic German and Irish favourites, mashups, parody and prose, with some songs held back from the live set so backers hear them first.

It’s coming on CD, digital and limited blue marbled vinyl, plus koozies, T-shirts and enamel pins for “your kilt, alpine hat or ren fest garb.” The goal is $8,000, all or nothing, by November 22, and backers get advance downloads as soon as it funds. Back it here. Lederhosen optional.
