Tuam’s finest are turning 40 on the road, and The Saw Doctors have three big 2027 nights booked to mark it, starting with Celtic Connections at Glasgow International Arena on Friday, January 15, with Ímar. Glasgow tickets went on general sale October 8.
Then it’s back to The Piece Hall in Halifax on Saturday, June 12 with BIIRD, and Virgin Media Park in Cork on Saturday, July 3 with The Stunning. Both rooms sold out for them in 2025, and both have been on sale since October 2.
Davy Carton and Leo Moran still run the show, founding bassist Pearse Doherty is back in the fold, and ex-Waterboy Anthony Thistlethwaite is on sax. Fresh off a No. 1 with “The Green and Red of Mayo” and an Electric Picnic singalong with the All-Ireland-winning Mayo team, they’re hardly limping into the anniversary. N17, three nights, full volume.
