The Men They Couldn’t Hang are back on the road this autumn, and the pick of the run is three nights as special guests on The Undertones’ 50th anniversary shows: Sunderland Fire Station (October 22), Sheffield Foundry (October 23) and Manchester O2 Ritz (October 24). Shepherd’s Bush folk-punk meets Derry teenage kicks.
Then it’s their own headline dates: Oxford Bullingdon (November 6), Swansea Sin City (November 7), Brighton Komedia (November 8), Leeds Irish Centre (November 12), Edinburgh La Belle Angele (November 13) and Shrewsbury LOOP (November 14), before the big one at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on Thursday, December 3.
Expect the classics plus maybe new songs from The Wave, the album they’re crowdfunding through Bandcamp.
Forty-two years since they opened for Pogue Mahone at the Electric Ballroom.
