Scotland’s pipes-and-guitars juggernaut Skerryvore are heading back down under in February and March 2027 for their biggest Australian run yet, the Beautiful Mistakes Album Tour. Tickets went on sale September 30.
The eight-piece open at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Bunbury on February 25 and wrap at Crowbar in Sydney on March 21, with a return to Port Fairy Folk Festival for its 50th anniversary (March 7–8) and a Blue Mountains Music Festival slot along the way.
First, the record. Beautiful Mistakes lands November 6 on Cooking Vinyl, produced by Jamie Squire (The 1975) and previewed by the rollicking “Fly” and “Singing Up In Heaven,” Alec Dalglish’s tribute to his late father. It follows 2023’s Tempus, a No. 1 on the Scottish and Folk album charts.
Not punk, but bagpipes, fiddle, accordion and choruses as big as the Hebrides will do the job at any pub session.
