Dublin six-piece Madra Salach just released “Ribbon Factory” via Island Records, their first new tune since January’s debut EP It’s a Hell of an Age hit No. 3 on the Irish Albums Chart.
Recorded in New York with producer Loren Humphrey, it’s been a live brawler for over a year. Frontman Paul Banks calls it “a stepping stone for us into more lively and punky arrangements… a uniquely Irish song and is wrought with anger and despair.” More of that please, lads.
They’re also on the upcoming The Songs of Shane MacGowan tribute, and they cross the Atlantic next month: The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA on November 2, then Philly, DC, New York, Brooklyn and Toronto.
