Dave King of Flogging Molly was back under the lights Saturday night — and he chose a hell of a room to do it in. At The Fillmore Detroit on October 3rd, the Celtic punk frontman joined Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter on stage for “Anarchy in the U.K.”
It was King’s first public stage turn since a near-fatal brain hemorrhage in January 2025 put him in a coma, led to multiple surgeries, and knocked Flogging Molly off the road. Detroit has long been home turf for King and Bridget Regan; the Fillmore is practically family.
Jones, Cook, Matlock and Carter are out on their “50 Years of Punk” North American run. Fan video from the Detroit stop timestamps King on the closer.
Next for Molly’s Army: the Salty Dog Cruise sails from Miami October 25–30 with Bad Religion, Frank Turner and more. Welcome back, Dave.
