Cool idea this list!
Agree with Sean as for DKM's Black Out. Plus I think The Real McKenzies can't be off that top 10, especially their "Clash of the tartans".

Honorable's :
All the good stuff from Germany (Mr. Irish Bastard - The Porters) and from the Netherlands (Circle J)

+ some honorable's from Brittany which are worth the listening :
* Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs
* Tri Bleiz Die

Alistair Hulett's web list you as one of their American distributors (actually North and South America). I would like to buy some of his albums. I only found four at AK Productions and no Roaring Jack.

Great list, both! Although...

I have always though DKM's "Blackout" was the band's best work, song for song.
And on my own top ten list, I would have...

Oh heck, I'll just write one out, too!

1. POGUES - RUM, SODOMy AND THE LASH
2. FLOGGING MOLLY - SWAGGER
3. NECK - SOD 'EM AND BEGORRAH
4. TOSSERS - VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH
5. BLOOD OR WHISKEY - BLOOD OR WHISKEY
6. DROPKICK MURPHY'S - BLACKOUT
7. THE DOLOMITES - LOVELY DAY FOR A HOGSHEAD OF WHISKEY
8. GREENLAND WHALEFISHERS - STREETS OF SALVATION, (I still prefer this one!)
9. BIBLECODE SUNDAYS - GHOSTS OF OUR PAST
10. MUTINY - CO-OP BREWERY
11. ROARING JACK - STREET CELTABILITY
12. HORSLIPS - BOOK OF INVASIONS
NEED TO MENTION:
13. IRISH STEW OF SINDIDUN - DARE TO DREAM
14. SCOTT MX TURNER AND THE DEVILS ADVOCATES;/THE UNITED 32S - SNIPERS
       IN DERELICT HOUSES
15. SIOBHAN - WELFARE STATE

Yeah, I included some personal faves. And I stand by 'em!

J.Murph,

As an old head at Shite'n'Onions, I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't disagree a bit, and therefore have to present ye with my own list.

1) THE POGUES - If I Should Fall From Grace With God
While purists always seem to favor Rum, Sodomy (and I agree, it's a fucking shit hot record) I will always prefer IISFFGWG. The classics don't stop, it contains rave ups galore (title track," Bottle of Smoke," "Fiesta"), trips to foreign lands ghost stories ("Turkish Song") and of course their perennial yuletide favorite, as well as two of the Pogues best of all-time in "Lullaby of London" and "Broad Majestic Shannon." To me, their finest hour.

2) DROPKICK MURPHYS - SING LOUD, SING PROUD
(Probably their most complete statement if we're judging by the mix of punk and Irish influence.)

3) THE MAHONES - RISE AGAIN
(One of the best Irish "punk" tunes ever in "Streets of New York." Kind of perfectly captures an innocent time in one's life, from an immigrant type angle, but alas, the fun has to end, but one can still reminisce)

4) THE TOSSERS - WE'LL NEVER BE SOBER AGAIN

5) BLOOD OR WHISKEY - NO TOIME TO EXPLAIN
(But "Bucharest" is their single best tune)

6) BLACK 47 - FIRES OF FREEDOM

7) FLOGGING MOLLY - DRUNKEN LULLABIES

8) NECK - THEIR EARLY MATERIAL

9) SHANE AND THE POPES - THE SNAKE

10) THE UNDERTONES/STIFF LITTLE FINGERS
CHEEEEKY!
